Music is in the Air

Recently, the Foxcroft community has been treated to special musical performances at two gatherings where the talents of our voice, piano, and violin students have filled the air with joyful, melodious music.
In place of Morning Meeting in the library on a typical Friday, students and faculty gathered in FoxHound Auditorium to hear three performances. Violinists Shea H. ’21 and Jennifer C. ’21 performed Mollenhauer’s “Boy Paganini Fantasia” and Kreisler’s “Sicilienne and Rigaudon,” respectively, while accompanied by Eric Dombrowski on the piano. Zoey X. ’18 gave her final recital at Foxcroft with a performance of Debussy’s “Ballade” on the piano. After the applause subsided, Zoey gave a special thank-you to her piano teacher, Mr. Dombrowski, for being so instrumental in her level of achievement and skill at Foxcroft.

At Monday’s Morning Meeting in the library, the community heard two vocalists perform — Eunice Y. ’21, who sang Carole King's “You’ve Got A Friend,” and Matty H. ’19, who sang two songs — “A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes” from Cinderella and “Rise Up” by Andra Day. Both are students of voice teacher Michelle Fegeas, who joined Eunice during part of her performance.

Many thanks to Mr. Dombrowski and Ms. Fegeas for their hard work helping our students refine their musical talents!
