Foxcroft vs. Wakefield

Foxcroft comes up short against Wakefield on rainy Thursday.
The Foxcroft Varsity Soccer Team had a surprise home game on Thursday after the rain forced the game to be moved to our turf field.

Despite the home field advantage, Foxcroft came up short against a speedy Quantico team. The game was evenly matched for most of the game. Wakefield was able to capitalize on a first half corner kick and a second half goal.

Despite the score Foxcroft was still able to create chances, especially in the second half when the wind was at our backs. Our best chance came when Kyla Peterson fed a cross to Emilia Gropper who barely miss hit the ball and we could not capitalize on the scramble.

Shout out to Ariana Arana who not only started her first game of the season but also played the entire 80 minutes.

Foxcroft will have another difficult game on Wednesday against a strong Oakcrest team.
