Foxcroft Ends Fall Sports Season Celebrating All-GPAC Athletes

Foxcroft’s fall varsity sports teams all had very successful seasons, with several teams receiving State tournament berths and all varsity teams boasting multiple All Greater Piedmont Athletic Conference (GPAC) athletes.
Capping off another winning season (13-3) with their second consecutive Conference Championship and a #7 Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) Division II finish, Varsity Tennis saw five players receive All-GPAC accolades. Those players included First-Team athletes Caroline C. ’24 (played at #1 position for singles and doubles) and Elizabeth V. ’24 (played at #2/#3 position). Second-Team honors went to Juliana R. ’24, Flora H. ’25, and Penelope M. ’25.

Varsity Field Hockey (6-9) finished at #5 in the final VISAA DII rankings. Narrowly losing a hard-fought state quarterfinal, the team produced four All-GPAC First-Team athletes, including the dynamic sister duo of Grace P. ’24 and Ava P. ’26, along with Patty A. ’25 and Flora W. ’25 (all key offensive and defensive players).

Varsity Volleyball finished a competitive season (5-10) with three players recognized as All-GPAC athletes. First-Team honors went to senior Sarah F. (team leader in kills and aces). All-GPAC Honorable Mention was received by Eva C. ’24 and Addie A. ’25.

Cross Country had a record 10 athletes qualify for both the GPAC Championship and VISAA State Championship meets. Those athletes were: Bronte B. '26, Gwen E. '26, Fiona J. '27, Raquel L. '25, Elizabeth P. '25, Madison R. '27, Sandra R. '25, Emili R. '24, Ava R. '25, and Caroline W. '26. Among the top finishing athletes at the conference meet were Caroline W. ’26 in 11th place with a personal record of 24:31, and Ava R. ’25 with a personal record of 26:03. Our top finisher at the VISAA meet was freshman Madison R., who persevered through tough weather conditions to lead the team.

Congratulations to all of our teams and athletes on a stellar fall season!
