International Week is Coming February 13-17!!

From Director of International Student Services Kate Tomaskovic

While Foxcroft celebrates its diversity of cultures, ethnicities, and languages, it is never on more prominent display than during our annual International Week, organized by members of the Global Cultures Club, International Ambassadors, and with the help of the World Languages Department.
International Week boasts lunches that take us around the globe served throughout the week, chosen through surveying our student body and prepared by Jill Attanasio and the Dining Hall staff. Students have created menus, brought in family recipes, and will share information about each cuisine and its respective culture through new QR codes posted at each table.

New for International Week this year is the extension of activities and events to take us through the entirety of the week! We will begin International Week on Sunday, February 12, with International Cooking in Roomies, partnering with Spanish Club and Cooking Club. Monday will be International Game Night. Coffee Club will help host International Karaoke that will focus on International love songs in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. Wednesday debuts our first International Fashion Show held in the Library. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear clothing to represent their countries and cultures showcased in partnership with Fashion Club.

The week culminates with the much anticipated International Gala and International Bazaar. Our Gala will kickoff the Friday evening festivities with performances from many of our talented international and domestic students. The Bazaar will start after the Gala with workshops and interactive events, including learning dances from around the world, the return of the ever-popular Spicy Food Challenge, and more.

The Gala will begin at 7pm in FoxHound Auditorium, with the Bazaar immediately following throughout Schoolhouse. Please join us if you're in the area on Friday, February 17! Masking may be required; any necessary protocols will be shared as we get closer to the event.

Special thanks to the leaders of our student organizations for all their hard work in making this week possible:
