Winter Production was Mandatory Fun Indeed!

From improvisations like the crowd favorite “Yes, and…” that solicited a place, characters, and situation from the audience for performers to act out, to musical parodies — one fittingly titled “Welcome to the Midterms” — and fun skits spoofing daily news shows and The Twilight Zone, the Cast-Aside Players made all of their hard work look easy as they elicited cheers and laughter from the audience. 

Drawing off the energy of the Cast-Aside Players, some members of the audience even stayed after to try their hand at improv through games and exercises. It’s not as easy as it looks, and we applaud the performers for bravely taking the stage. Kudos to each member of the Cast-Aside Players and the Tech Crew for their hard work in bringing Mandatory Fun to FoxHound Auditorium! Special thanks to Director Karin Thorndike for coaching and guiding the performers straight through to the final laugh.
