Andrea Ewing Reid ’80 to Serve as Career Day 2020 Keynote Speaker

We are excited to announce that Andrea Ewing Reid ’80 will kick off Career Day 2020 by delivering a keynote speech to students, faculty, and alumnae on Friday morning of Reunion Weekend (April 16-18).
After graduating from Foxcroft as Salutatorian for her class, Andrea went on to Brown University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Psychology. Upon graduating from Harvard Medical School in 1988 with her MD; she trained in internal medicine and gastroenterology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, where she completed her clinical and research training in gastroenterology in 1996 and then joined the faculty.
 
Andrea also earned a Masters in Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health in 2000. She was very involved in volunteer activities in the Boston area and was honored with several awards in recognition of her commitment to teaching and mentorship at Harvard Medical School, MGH, and in the community.

As a member of the Foxcroft community, Andrea has served as a Career Day panelist and a moderator for Courageous Conversations. She is currently a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Alumnae Council. In 2009, Andrea relocated to Washington, D.C. and is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist at the Washington, D.C. VA Medical Center. She continues to teach at Harvard Medical School.
