Foxcroft Takes Home Reserve Champion from IEA Show at Cavallo Farm
Led by juniors Siena W., Csenge V., and Julia C., who each captured first-place finishes, Foxcroft riders brought home a total of 16 ribbons to earn Reserve Champion at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Show at Cavallo Farm. The team finished with a total of 27 points, just shy of the 31 earned by show Champion Madeira.
Siena, competing at the Varsity Open level, won her Over Fences class, while teammates Elena B. ’20 and Chloe M. ’21 took home second and fifth. Csenge and teammates Lexi H. ’23, Cecilia M. ’22, Annabelle A. ’23, and Gigi G. ’22 swept the Varsity Intermediate Over Fences class, bringing home the first through fifth place ribbons, respectively. Julia took first in the Junior Varsity Walk/Trot/Canter division.
Foxcroft riders also performed well in the Varsity Intermediate Equitation on the Flat with Cecilia, Csenge, Annabelle, and Gigi taking the second through fifth place ribbons. Rounding out the competition were Larisa B. ’20 who received third in the JV Novice on the Flat and fifth in JV Novice Over Fences, and Elena with sixth in the Varsity Open Flat.
