A Battle of Wills

Maria-Esther Sanchez
A big display of determination!
Today the Volleyball Varsity Team showed that they wanted to win. With a total of 19 aces, 25 kills, 15 assists, and 40 digs, every player on the court went after the ball, including off the net, making great saves and showing determination and positive attitude all around. They started making a few mistakes, which made the team lose the first set. After that, the players quickly made a few corrections and ended up winning the next three sets. The team had great assists, in particular from Gracen. Wonderful aces by Jess, Georgia, Cailey, Olivia, Adair, and Elizabeth. Beautiful kills by Tami, Jess, Olivia, Gracen, Elizabeth, Georgia, Cailey, and Marina. And courageous digs by Elizabeth, Georgia, Tami, Olivia, Jess, Cailey, Gracen, and Bridgette. Adair was injured and could hardly play, but she tried for as long as she could. Both Maya and Amelia showed their great potential in the short rally that Mercersburg Academy and Foxcroft had after the game. It was a very exciting and vibrant game. Go Foxcroft!
