“Regalia” Creator Mo Regulinski To Kick Off Arts Weekend
Exhibits, workshops, and theatrical production all on tap for April 26-27
The 2019 Arts Weekend gets off to an exciting start on Friday, April 26 when wearable artist Mo Regulinski, our second Helen Cudahy Niblack ’42 Arts Lecture Series guest this year, talks about her Regalia: Healing Avatars series and students model several of her creations during Morning Meeting.
Foxcroft will continue to celebrate the fundamental human desire to create through the weekend with activities ranging from musical and theatrical performances to visual games and creative contests, that showcase the talent and passion of Foxcroft’s performing and visual artists and encourage all our students to express themselves in terms of their identities and their relationship to the world around them.
Chief among these are spring performing arts production of Legally Blonde: The Musical, with shows Friday and Saturday evening, and the second annual Festival of Arts on Saturday.

Parents and friends are welcome to attend the Niblack presentation by Regulinski, which will be in the Audrey Bruce Currier Library at 9:35am. Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 3, Regulinski designs striking clothing from the glucose strips, syringes, and other medical disposables used by diabetics and has become a renown teacher and workshop leader whose mission, she says, is to create “art that inspires dynamic self–empowerment and visualizes the power of healthy living choices.” Her work aligns closely with Foxcroft’s theme this year of trailblazing women as she sets an example of how we can embrace fears and turn them into opportunities to succeed.
Festival of Arts sessions will include two-hour workshops led by clubs, faculty, and visiting artist Mo Regulinski, who will run two separate sessions Saturday to plan and create a collaborative art piece with students.
All are welcome to enjoy the fun and interactive hands-on activities that will be dispersed throughout Schoolhouse. There will be separate stations led by faculty and students to play games, create art, and get inspired.
Also, there will be student art exhibits that showcase pieces from our Studio Art, Ceramics, Photography, and Design classes on display on the main floor and basement level of Schoolhouse. Several senior artists will have one-woman art exhibits that celebrate their accomplishments over the course of their time at Foxcroft.
A reception for and judging of the Science Photography Contest will take place in TIL@FXC, so come and cast your vote! Don't forget to stop by our faculty and staff art exhibit on display in the ABC Library as well.
