Highlight: Called America’s National Velvet after becoming the first woman to win The Maryland Hunt Cup, in 1980.

She also rode in the 1983 English Grand National and, now in her 60s, she continues to compete successfully in show jumping. Being the oldest rider (just shy of her 62nd birthday) in the class didn’t stop Joy when she won the NAL Low Junior Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic at the 2015 Vermont Summer Festival.
