Talent on Display: The Senior Art Show

This week, five students who take Advanced Studio Art have put together a Senior Art Show in Schoolhouse outside the Art Room. Mr. Cox and Mrs. Thorndike, their teachers, wanted to exhibit their students’ dedication and talent.
The participating students are Emily C., Phoebe F., Ja Yoon L. Gaby P., and Amy Z. The pieces on display are the best among their works. Also on the exhibit wall, the girls present their artistic statements and descriptions of their works of art.
The exhibit contains work done in different media, such as ceramics, acrylic painting, colored pencil, and photography. Among the pieces, you will find Phoebe’s windmill and Ja Yoon’s rendering of our lovely art room. Amy’s traditional ceramic rice bowls are displayed in the glass case and Emily’s photos adorn the wall. Gaby shares her mixed media creations. (To read the girls’ artistic statements, click here.)
