Alex '16 Wins Fourth Race in a Row; Foxcroft Finishes Second

Alex '16 won her fourth consecutive cross country race Tuesday and led Foxcroft to a second-place finish in a Delaney Athletic Conference meet at Tandem Friends in Charlottesville.

Alex covered the hilly, 5K course in 20 minutes, 6 seconds to outdistance the No. 2 finisher in the field of 76 runners by 1:57 minutes.

Senior Caroline M., despite falling during the race, got up and finished ninth in 23:44 and junior Brittany H. was 18th overall in 25:27. Other finishers were Jacqueline D. '17 (26:37) in 25th place, Grace C. '19 in 30th place (27:12), Melanie F. '18 in 32nd place (27:28), Sophia D. '16 in 56th place (31:09) and Elle R. '18 in 59th place (35:03).

Trinity Christian won the race with 28 points, Foxcroft was second with 51 points and Seton finished third with 63 points. It marked the first time that Foxcroft had ever finished ahead of Seton in a DAC cross country race.
