Nine seniors and two juniors were elected to the Foxcroft School chapter of the Cum Laude Society, chapter president Susan Erba announced Monday at Morning Meeting.

The Foxcroft seniors named to the national scholastic honor society are Tanya (Lovettsville, Va.), Stephanie (The Plains, Va. ), Savannah (Clifton, Va.), Lisa (Reston, Va.), Morgan (New York, N.Y.), Cameron (Fenton, Mich.), Sarah S. The Cum Laude Society is a modeled on the collegiate Phi Beta Kappa and boasts more than 335 chapters across the United States. The Foxcroft chapter was established in 1958. The official Cum Laude Society induction takes place at Foxcroft’s Commencement in May. Jillian '07 and Shannon '07, who were elected last year as juniors, and faculty members Mary Louise Leipheimer (Head of School), Celeste Bergan (Science Dept. Chair), Glenn Kantz (English and Latin teacher) Steve Matthews (Head Librarian, English teacher) and Alex Northrup (History Dept. Chair, Asst. Librarian) will join Erba in conferring the honors.
