Katarina S. ’26 is Student of the Month
Chosen from faculty nominations for students who have demonstrated excellence in their academic life at Foxcroft, the Student of the Month is not solely concerned with classroom performance — the award also recognizes students who contribute positively to the classroom environment, demonstrate strong intellectual curiosity and take advantage of the full scope of Foxcroft's academic program. The most recent recipient of this honor is sophomore Katarina S.!
Before presenting Katarina with her award, Latin teacher Megan Barrett shared comments from the teachers who nominated her, including from her math teacher, "She is in my Algebra II class and always takes her time and develops understanding before moving on. She also works well with others."
Katarina's advisor offered, "She is my advisee, so I am probably biased, but she ran my MLK day discussion in Advisory, and that's the kind of student she is." Her Spanish teacher wrote, "She has been doing a superb job in Spanish, Advanced Topics 2, and is even preparing extra work to sing in Spanish in the [International Week] Gala."

Her English teacher shared, "This student has a passion for learning and always brings a vibrant, positive energy to the classroom. She turned in an excellent first draft of her obituary project on Abigail Adams for English class in a timely manner, even though her schedule was overwhelmed with theater duties for the school play. The way she manages all of her responsibilities with her dedication to academics is very inspiring."
