A Wonderful Weekend for All!

Reunion 2023 saw more than 129 alumnae and guests on campus for a weekend full of warm hugs, hearty laughter, and mostly gorgeous weather. Lively events, from the Alumnae Association Dinner Thursday evening through Saturday’s class dinners, offered myriad opportunities for alumnae to reconnect with each other.
The weekend kicked off Thursday evening with the Alumnae Association Dinner welcoming the Class of 2023 and announcing their Class Representatives Sydney M. and Johanna B., as well as the induction of Jessi Coil Jewell 2006 into the Sports Hall of Fame

Friday began with Alumnae Career Day and an inspiring address from Keynote Speaker Elizabeth Lester 1988 during Morning Meeting. Ten alumnae then offered breakout sessions where they discussed their career journeys with students.

Over lunch, Head of School Cathy McGehee shared School news and updates with alumnae, followed by an engaging and enlightening discussion among alumnae around the Evolution of Wellness during a Courageous Conversation. Alumnae were then invited to a Student Panel where students shared a bit about current day-to-day life at Foxcroft and answered questions, with an afternoon of campus tours and opportunities for alumnae to share stories about their time at Foxcroft through video-recorded oral histories. The day finished with a Welcome Reception at Covert that included Class Photos and a rousing flash mob performance by the Class of 1973.

Alumnae arrived Saturday morning to a Mimosa Mixer and Brunch courtesy of the Alumnae Council Social Committee. During breakfast, the Alumnae Association Annual Meeting was also held, and Tarin Heilman Horan 1993 offered a year in review of the Council and Committees. Reunion Giving awards were also presented — congratulations to the Class of 2013 for winning in the 5th-20th category and the Class of 1973 for the 25th-60th. A stormy afternoon at the Middleburg Spring Races was followed by class dinners, which brought more fellowship and fun to close the evening.

Thank you to all the alumnae who made the journey back to campus; it was a joy to see you! For those unable to attend, know that you were truly missed, and we hope to see you soon!
