This Year’s Theme: “Code for Good”

Each year, the STEM Challenge uses a unique theme in the STEM activities and challenges. This year's theme is "Code for Good." Did you know?
  • Not all hacking is illegal! Companies pay good hackers to find security issues in their systems.
  • The largest data breach on record occurred in 2013, in which account information was stolen for over 3 billion Yahoo! accounts.
  • On average, every person on earth has to remember about 38 passwords across all of their user accounts.
  • Hacking isn't limited to bank accounts or computers: in 2015, researchers remotely hacked into a Jeep Cherokee's onboard computer, taking control of the steering, brakes, and transmission.
    • Code for Good
