JV Loses OT Heartbreaker to St. James as Valley Escape Homeschool Takes Think Pink JV Title

A long, exciting day of basketball ended with a thriller Saturday when Foxcroft’s JV rallied from a significant deficit to force St. James School to overtime before dropping a 12-11 decision in the 10th annual Think Pink Basketball Tournament at Foxcroft. It was the JV’s third loss of the day, but its best effort and closest outcome.

It was also the 15th game played on three courts at three-division, round-robin tournament which saw Middleburg Academy win the Varsity Division title and Randolph-Macon Academy claim the middle school division.  

Valley Escape Homeschool, which claimed the JV championship with a 3-0 record, defeated Foxcroft 26-5 when play got underway at 9 am. Foxcroft also fell, 17-4 to Mercersburg Academy, which finished second at 2-1. St. James was third at 1-2.  A complete scoreboard follows:
