What a Weekend We Have Planned!

Each year, the first weekend back from Thanksgiving Break brings the entire community together in the spirit of the season with holiday preparations, "Christmas in Middleburg" events, and our annual Christmas pageant. This year, however, the weekend is especially full of spirited festivities, as the first Fox/Hound competitions of the year (postponed from before break) are taking place on Friday! We know our Admission Open House guests, who will also be on campus tomorrow, will love getting a preview of all the ways our community comes together.

Here's an overview of the schedule for Friday and Saturday:
Friday, November 30

1:30pm New Girl Runnings — Gazebo, Jump, and Show Area (Big Track)

Saturday, December 1

♦ "Christmas in Middleburg"

2pm "Christmas in Middleburg" Parade — Downtown Middleburg
Our girls will participate, as always, with a School float in the festive parade. If you live locally, come out and cheer on our girls!

Students will also assist with several events in town, including:
  • Breakfast with Santa and Silent Auction at the Middleburg Community Charter School from 7:45-11am;
  • Santa's Workshop (family and kid activities) on North Madison at Long and Fosters and the Pavilion from 9:30am-1:45pm;
Additional events in the village include:
  • the Middleburg Hunt & Hound Review at 11am — don't miss this amazing spectacle;
  • a Craft Fair at the Community Center from 9am-5pm;
  • and more! See the "Christmas in Middleburg" website for a full schedule.
Sunday, December 2

2pm Christmas Pageant — Engelhard Gymnasium
This stunning presentation of the Nativity was written by Miss Charlotte over 100 years ago and is presented by Foxcroft New Girls annually as a gift to the community. Featuring live animals, Chorale, and a special appearance from Santa Claus, it is a treat for children and adults of all ages.

As you visit campus this weekend, we hope you'll consider picking up a non-perishable food item to donate to the Foxcroft food drive (see full story), which runs through December 7.
