On the Air: Ms. Conner Will Star on VoiceAmerica Talk Radio Wednesday

Director of College Counseling Barbara Conner will be the featured guest on “Destination: YOUniversity,” a weekly show hosted by Dr. Cynthia Colón on the VoiceAmerica Talk Radio Network.

Conner's segment will be broadcast at 12noon Pacific Time (3pm Eastern Time) on Wednesday, September 12, on the VoiceAmerica Variety Channel, one of VoiceAmerica’s eight branded channels. VoiceAmerica Talk Radio Network is the leading producer, distributor, and online broadcaster of original live and on-demand talk radio programming worldwide.

The show is aimed at students, parents of students, and teachers and strives to share practical tips and action steps to help navigate the college process. Conner was one of a handful of individuals from the world of college counseling and admissions chosen from among 40 nominees to be a guest.

Because her schedule precluded her from going on live, Conner prerecorded the show Monday, sharing five lessons she learned as an “Army brat” who moved 11 times before she was 20 and how that affected her own journey to college. She also talks about the Five First-Choice Colleges approach to the college admission process that she created and shares just a bit of her wisdom gleaned from years of helping adults and students plan their futures.
