Message from Career Keynote Speaker Jane Forbes Clark ’73: Integrity Will Get You Far

Jane Forbes Clark ’73 wears many hats. She is Director of The Clark Foundation, Chair of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, and involved with myriad “Clark-affiliated businesses” that range from a healthcare network and retirement home to hotels and museums. In addition, she serves on various equestrian organizations and owns international show horses and premier bucking bulls.

Despite these many different endeavors and leadership roles, Clark’s guiding principles — which she shared with the Foxcroft community last Friday morning in her Alumnae Career Day keynote — are quite simple: pay attention to how you behave always and negotiate your honor never.

“I can promise you that if you keep a heightened sense of awareness and never compromise your integrity, you will be very well served and you will be effective in any leadership role that you want to be in,” she advised.
