Come Meet "The Addams Family” at Foxcroft’s Spring Production

Outstanding music and lots of laughs are on tap April 21-22 when the Main Stage class presents the 10-time Tony Award-nominated musical, The Addams Family, in FoxHound Auditorium. Put the dates on your calendar now and join us!

Senior Elle L., junior Elle R., and sophomore Seabrook B. head a talented cast in the show, which is based upon the ghoulish Addams Family characters created by Charles Addams in his single-panel cartoons.
The Addams Family, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, opened on Broadway in April 2010 and received 10 Tony Award nominations, including Best Original Score and Outstanding Musical. In the play, Addams family daughter, Wednesday, has fallen in love with Lucas Beineke, and has invited him and his respectable, “normal” parents from Ohio to dinner with her family. A hilarious night ensues in which secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams family faces something they’ve managed to avoid for years: change.

The Foxcroft production, directed by Fine Arts Department Chair Karin Thorndike, stars Elle L. as Lucas’s mother Alice Beineke, Seabrook as Wednesday, and Elle R. as Wednesday’s mother, Morticia Addams. Jenna T. ’19 plays Lucas, Morgan H. ’18 is his dad, Mal Beineke, and STEM teacher Matt Mohler plays Gomez Addams. Supporting roles include freshman Krissa T. as Pugsley, junior Yiming Z. as Grandma Addams, junior Paola A. as Uncle Fester, and freshman Isabel W. as Lurch.

The cast also includes sophomores Alex G., Candace K., and Ngoc N., and freshmen Kenzie G. and Marina V.

Performances of The Addams Family begin at 7:30pm both April 21 and 22. Admission is free. Foxcroft is located on Foxcroft Road, about 4 miles north of the village of Middleburg. Please call 540.687.4511 for more information.
