Foxcroft IEA Team Ends the Season with a Fourth Place Finish at Regional Finals
The Foxcroft IEA team finished their season with a fourth-place finish at Regional Finals at Meadowbrook Stables last Saturday, February 18. With only a 5-point spread between the first through fourth place teams, the competition was a nail-biter until the very last team class of the day. A special shout-out goes to Captain Meredith K. ’23 for her first-place finish in the Team Beginner Walk, Trot, Canter class. Captain Lexi H. ’23, Anneliese C. ’26, and Claire M. ’24 also rode in style, and each earned a second-place finish for the team, keeping Foxcroft in the game throughout the day.
Our individual riders had a great day of competition as well! Meredith missed qualifying for Zone finals by only one placing, finishing in second place in the Individual Beginner Walk, Trot, Canter class. Claire fought hard in a large, competitive class and earned the fourth place ribbon in the Individual Novice Flat class, and Anneliese was flashy and effective in her Individual Intermediate Flat class, finishing the season with a third place.
All the Foxcroft IEA riders had a great season filled with lots of fun and learning. We will be sad to graduate our three senior Captains Meredith, Lexi, and Sage W., but we are looking forward to another great season next fall!
