Foxcroft Opens Registration for 2023 Equestrian Residential Camp
Foxcroft is excited to offer a week-long equestrian residential camp from June 25-30, 2023, for riders entering the 8th-11th grade in the fall of 2023 and interested in exploring attending Foxcroft School during their high school years. The program, designed for riders with experience riding at a level of walk-trot-canter or above, was created to further a girl's riding skills while providing her with knowledge of nutritionally sound meal preparation and physical exercise designed for riders.
Riders will receive mounted instruction based on the tenets of hunter seat equitation and attend horsemanship seminars on bandaging, braiding, clipping, vet care, farrier care, and the like. The residential component of the camp will include preparing group meals, exploring the Foxcroft campus, field trips, pool time, and social activities in the dorm.
Space is limited, and previous riding experience is required. Contact Assistant Director of Riding Kendall Bear (kendall.bear@foxcroft.org) for more information and application materials. The cost of the camp is $1,650, and for those accepted, the camp fee will be due in full by May 31, 2023. Private horses are welcome for an additional fee.

3pm: Arrival at Foxcroft School to move into dorm

Early morning residential programming
8:30am: Arrive at the stable & meet the instructors
9-11am: Placement rides to get to know the Foxcroft horses
11am-12:30pm: Lunch and residential programming
12:30-3pm: Grooming, riding lesson, taking care of horse after lesson

Early morning consists of residential programming
8:30am: Arrive at stable
9-11:30am: Grooming, riding lesson, taking care of horse after lesson
12pm: Conclusion of camp and pick up from Foxcroft
