Athletic Acclaim for Fall Sports Athletes

The Athletic Association and Athletic Department, together with the Parents’ Association, hosted a wonderful Fall Sports Awards ceremony Monday evening celebrating Foxcroft’s teams and accomplishments. Athletic Association senior heads Lilly R. and Amelia F. and junior assistant heads Molly C., Lucy M., Winley T., and Olivia W. emceed the entire evening. After the ceremony, students were treated to tasty baked goods and desserts organized by Parents’ Association Athletic Coordinators Laura Carpenter and Erin Hershey and supplied by many wonderful parents.
During the program, members of the field hockey, volleyball, tennis, and cross country teams were presented with certificates, and varsity athletes got their letters. Each coach said a few words about his or her team’s season. Individual awards were presented, and especially exciting was the announcement of 17 athletes who earned All-Greater Piedmont Athletic Conference (GPAC) honors! Director of Riding Kate Worsham and Assistant Directors of Riding Kendall Bear and Allie Pelz awarded unique seasonal prizes.

A complete list of honors follows. Thank you to all the folks who made the evening a grand success, especially Athletic Director Michelle Woodruff, Assistant Athletic Director Peachie Robinson, and lots of PA bakers for the delicious and plentiful desserts.

Good luck to members of our Cross Country team as they compete in the State Meet at 3:30pm this afternoon at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, VA, and congratulations to all of our athletes on a fine season!
