Foxcroft Ends Season with Road Loss to Wakefield

Foxcroft rolled into The Plains on Wednesday night ready to take on Wakefield for the third time this season, but too many service and hitting errors hobbled their effort, causing them to lose in three sets. Foxcroft challenged the Owls in the first set, bringing the score as close as 20-23 before falling 23-25. Foxcroft could not quite find its footing from the serve line (Foxcroft's serve success rate was 82% compared to Wakefield's 92%) or successfully receive the serves of Wakefield's two star players, and Foxcroft lost both sets by a score of 13-25.

The effort was not without highlights. Sophomore Mimi W. recorded a season-high 7 assists. Cassie C. '22 served 100% from the line. Adair S. '22 had a strong showing in her final match in a Foxcroft uniform, serving 100% from the line and recording 4 digs and 7 kills.

While Foxcroft's record after Fall Break was 3-5, they were 3-1 against teams not named Wakefield or Highland. Thus ends a good program-building year.
