Foxcroft Riders Compete in Piedmont Jumper Classic

During a week of beautiful fall weather complete with sunshine and brisk morning temperatures, ten of the Foxcroft riders enjoyed competing at the Piedmont Jumper Classic in Upperville, VA. In classes ranging from the .80m height to the Low Jr/AO/Am division at 1.20m, the riders all showcased their skills and added colorful ribbons to the banner.
With many new partnerships, some just weeks old, the Foxcroft trainers were thrilled with the consistency of riding and the connections that they were able to help foster between the riders and their mounts. The riders demonstrated technique and thoughtful riding while in the tack as well as good horsemanship as they hand walked and grazed their horses regularly and helped pitch in with all aspects of horse care, including stall picking, dumping, and filling water buckets, raking the aisle, feeding, bathing, and bandaging. The competition was a success on many levels and concluded with the Reserve Championship honors being earned in the Low Children's division by Irene B. ’24 and Pablo.
