Senior Jennifer C. Named National Merit Commended Scholar

Last Thursday during Morning Meeting, Jennifer C. ’21 was recognized as a National Merit Commended Scholar by Head of School Cathy McGehee. Of the 1.5 million students throughout the nation who took the 2019 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, roughly 34,000 were recognized as Commended Students for their exceptional academic promise.
"We are very proud of Jennifer's accomplishment on the PSAT as well as her academic achievement as a student at Foxcroft,” remarked Head of School Cathy McGehee. “Jennifer always challenges herself and shows a genuine love of learning in and out of the classroom."

“Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” commented a spokesperson for NMSC. “Recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation.”
