Class Representatives Weekend Brings 15 Alumnae Back to Campus

Last weekend [November 8 & 9] we welcomed 15 Class Representatives and members of the Alumnae Council back to campus for a weekend of updates, intergenerational bonding, and solution-oriented discussion.
Representatives learned about Foxcroft’s Wellness program from Assistant Head of School for Student Life Emily Johns, and how we are integrating it into each of the four grade levels. Alumnae also heard about the latest trends in enrollment and admissions, as well as what to expect in the future from Director of Enrollment Karla Vargas. An especially fun tidbit from this discussion was discovering how global Foxcroft girls are and continue to be! To finish Friday’s agenda, Head of School Cathy McGehee hosted a fireside conversation and State of the School, complete with pumpkin bars and shared memories. [Is a stapled skirt hem within the dress code? Jeannie Ryan ’85 knows the answer!]

Saturday included a presentation from Director of Institutional Advancement Marion Couzens, which highlighted the important ways Foxcroft is investing the incredible gift from Ruth Bedford ’32 and reviewed some of the accomplishments the School has made in the first five years of our second century. Additionally, there were both faculty and student panels, which provided unique insights into daily life on campus. The weekend finished with a bright and generative discussion, as alumnae sat in the circle of couches and overstuffed chairs in Roomies, sharing ideas and making plans. One of the ideas discussed, which we will be implementing this coming Reunion, is working to connect alumnae from Reunion years by career path or interest and location in the world!

A great big thank you to all of our Class Representatives for everything you do!
