Break a Leg: Performing Arts Students on Stage this Winter

Chorale has two upcoming major appearances: Sunday, December 8, their nonstop carols will tell the nativity story at the Christmas Pageant; and a week later, on December 15, their voices will highlight our annual service of Lessons and Carols with several pieces they are already hard at work on.
Following our return from Winter Break, the community can look forward to a production of The Lottery, a work in progress from the Theater Production, on January 17. The class has used this opportunity to learn all aspects of producing a play. Students have been involved in auditions, casting, directing, costuming, and many more tasks that are required to get a play curtain-ready. The show itself is a serious work based on the short story by Shirley Jackson which explores ideas such as communal violence, sexism, irony, and the dangers of blindly following tradition.

Curtain for The Lottery is 7:30pm on January 17 in FoxHound Auditorium, and admission is free.

A joyful noise will be resounding all around Foxcroft over the next few months. If you are in the area, we hope you will have the opportunity to hear some of it!
