Foxcroft Girls ROCK at Foxstock!

On Friday evening, a talented group of Foxcroft students brought Foxstock music festival to FoxHound Auditorium. Through an array of performances featuring many female singer-songwriters and classic tunes, each girl showed the community her “true colors” (with Mimi S. ’20’s Cyndi Lauper number) and gave the audience more than “one reason” (during Abby A. ’20’s rendition of Tracey Chapman’s hit) to cheer and applaud. By the finale with the whole company singing KT Tunstall’s “Suddenly I See,” the audience truly was “held captivated in [their] palms!”
While the cool fall weather didn’t cooperate for the music festival to be outdoors as planned, the indoor setting was transformed with lights, balloons, and decorations — and surprise beach balls bouncing between sets! Girls cozied up with blankets, pillows, and popcorn on the floor in front of the stage, and the performers' enthusiasm brought out huge smiles throughout the show.

Kudos to each member of the cast and crew for their hard work in bringing their talent and enthusiasm to Foxstock! Special shout-out to the band — Julia G. ’21 (bass), Gabby G. ’23 (drums), Maeve M. ’23 (guitar), Eric Dombrowski (keyboard), and Steve McCarty (guitar) — for playing the whole show. And big thanks to members of the Fine Arts Department — Director Karin Thorndike and Musical Directors Eric Dombrowski and Amy Asbury — for coaching and guiding the performers straight through to the final bow.

Girls, you ROCK!
