Foxcroft Rallies to Beat Wakefield in Season Finale

Foxcroft saved its best for last.

Led by the Stanley twins, Elizabeth and Adair, Foxcroft scored twice in the final 35 seconds to defeat Wakefield, 21-18, in the Plains in its final game of the season.

Trailing 18-17 with under a minute to play Foxcroft got baskets from Elizabeth and Adair in the final 35 seconds to pull out the nail-biter. The twins were dominant on the backboards with Elizabeth pulling down 18 rebounds -- the second most in a game since Foxcroft joined the Delaney Athletic Conference in 2008 -- and Adair adding 11.

Elizabeth led Foxcroft with six points and freshman Lucy M. added four.

Foxcroft won its final three games of the season to finish at 5-4 in regular season play.
