Beginner

Beginner classes emphasize activities such as grooming and basic horse care, as well as mounted skills including stability of position and control of the horse in a group setting.

As riders become proficient at walking, trotting, and cantering in small groups, they are instructed on how to accurately and consistently ride schooling figures such as circles, half-turn reverses, and serpentines in order to further practice communication with the horse. They are also introduced to entry-level cavaletti work.
