During her senior year at Foxcroft, Sloane was arguably the best junior equestrian in the country, winning the 2006 Bates USA Equitation year-end rider award and the Monarch International North American Equitation Championship. 

She turned professional while studying business at Drew University, where she also earned All-Conference honors in lacrosse. In 2013, Sloane — who competes on the Grand Prix show jumping circuit — opened Spring Ledge LLC, a 30-stall facility for training horses and riders.

Sloane had a very successful 2016 show season on her Grand Prix mount, Esprit. The pair won the Brook Ledge Grand Prix at Commonwealth Park and collected top-10 finishes at the WEF 6 National Grand Prix, Welcome Stakes class at the I Love New York Horse Show, and Blue Grass Festival Grand Prix in August. Another 2016 highlight was finishing11th in the CSI4* $210,000 Grand Prix at Upperville.
