A Variety of Skills

From competing out of state at weekend tournaments to taking the stage in regional theater productions, all Exceptional Proficiency participants make the most of the flexibility and opportunities within the program. Ten of our non-riding participants are training in the following areas: Dance (Emma B. ’22), Gymnastics (Jordan M. ’22), Music (Avani B. ’22), Racecar Driving (Meredith K. ’23), Soccer (Lily M. ’25 and Sara W. ’25), Softball (Gabby G. ’23 and Sienna H. ’24), Synchronized Skating (Becca C. ’23), and Volleyball (Kat W. ’23).
Some highlights include:

Emma B. ’22 (dance) has been performing with the Loudon Ballet performing Arts Company including The Nutcracker and The Little Mermaid.

Gabby G. ’23
(softball) has attended prospect days at Williams College, Brown University, and Bowdoin College. She continued her strength training over the winter months resulting in a new hitting personal record of 70 mph hitting velocity. Her pitching is an asset to Foxcroft’s Varsity Softball team!

Sienna H. ’24 (softball) participated in a rigorous tournament schedule last fall, playing almost every weekend. She is now training hard for the spring season, taking to the field with her Foxcroft peers on the Varsity Softball team as well.

Meredith K. ’23 (racecar driving) has competed in over 18 races including the INEX Nationals and the USLCI Winter Nationals in February. She has recently begun working in a limited late model stock car.

Lily M. ’25
(soccer) played with her team Virginia Soccer Association (VSA) in the Loudoun Soccer College Showcase in March and is also contributing her talents to Foxcroft’s Varsity Soccer team this spring.

Sara W. ’25
(soccer) played with her team in Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) games throughout the fall. She participated in an ECNL Showcase in Tampa, FL, as well as the Jefferson Cup Showcase in Richmond at the end of March. Sara joined Foxcroft’s Varsity Soccer team for the spring season.
