Foxcroft is establishing a Sports Hall of Fame with the first inductees to be enshrined during our Centennial in 2014. This makes Foxcroft one of the few all-girls schools to honor their sports stars with a Hall of Fame and further enhances Miss Charlotte’s vision for the school she founded with the Latin phrase “mens sana in corpore sano,” a healthy mind in a healthy body.
In order for the Foxcroft Sports Hall of Fame to happen, a committee needs to be formed to vote on yearly candidates. Jessi Coil '06, who works in the Office of Student Life and coaches at Foxcroft, has agreed to chair the committee for the first year. We are looking for additional alumnae volunteers to serve as members of the committee. We are also seeking nominations for consideration as potential inductees.
In order to be eligible for the Hall of Fame an athlete must be a graduate of Foxcroft and been out of school at least 10 years. An athlete must have carried on the principles of Foxcroft sports beyond high school as a collegiate player, an Olympian, a coach or an organizer. In order to maintain the integrity of the Hall of Fame, nominees also must exemplify the highest standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and character.
If you are interested in serving on the committee, please contact Jessi Coil by email (email@example.com).
After reviewing the Nomination Guidelines, please submit your nomination(s) by completing the Sports Hall of Fame Nomination form online. Alternatively, you may print the form (found on page 4 of the Nomination Guidelines) and mail it to the School.
