Students and Staff Inducted into Foxcroft Troupe of International Thespian Society

During Morning Meeting on Tuesday, five students and two faculty members were inducted into the Foxcroft Troupe of the International Thespian Society. Those new members are Chelsie E. ’22, Mary J. ’23, Moss L. ’22, Caroline M. ’22, and Nova S. ’23, along with faculty members Alex Northrup, Director of the Innovation Lab and History Department Chair, and Eric Dombrowski, Latin and Piano teacher.
Established in 1929, the International Thespian Society (ITS) is one of the highest honors a theater student can achieve. To earn induction into ITS, a student must complete more than 100 hours of excellent work in the theater. They must also uphold a strong overall academic standing and show a true appreciation and passion for theater. An organization dedicated to service and integrity, members of ITS join a group that includes not only accomplished actors but people who have distinguished themselves in business, science, law, medicine, and every other field of endeavor.

Following the announcement, Troupe President Heidi D. ’23 commended the inductees, “Your hard work, dedication, enthusiasm, and love of the theater have rewarded you with one of the greatest honors that you could receive in high school as a theater student. It is you who brings our theater to life and inspires others to join. We as a troupe will always remember your contributions to this department and school.”

Director Karin Thorndike, President Heidi D., Vice President Chelsie E., and Secretary Johanna B. ’23 make up the executive body of Foxcroft’s Troupe.
