Three Students Attending Virtual Student Diversity Leadership Conference
Natalie C. ’22, Maya M. ’23, and Madi W. ’25 are all participating in the NAIS Online Student Diversity Leadership Conference (SDLC) being held this week. Offered annually in conjunction with the NAIS People of Color Conference, SDLC is a multiracial, multicultural gathering of student leaders in grades 9-12 from across the United States and abroad.
Focusing on self-reflection, forming allies, and building community, students will work to develop cross-cultural communication skills, design effective strategies for social justice practice through dialogue and the arts, and learn the foundations of allyship and networking principles.
Foxcroft’s Dean of Inclusive Excellence Whittney Preston and Associate Director of Admission for Access and Inclusion Krystyna Martin brought this opportunity to the girls and will serve as the School’s liaisons between our students and SDLC.
