Swimmer Teddy S. ’19 Has a Busy Week at the World Cup

Senior Teddy S. had a wonderful — and busy — time last week (March 26-30) at the TYR Junior National Cup Swimming Championships in St. Petersburg, FL. Putting in 16-hour days that started around 5am and ended often after 9pm, she swam in nine events, including five relays.
In the 800-freestyle relay, Teddy and three teammates from Occoquan Swimming broke the team record by seven seconds and placed 12th. Her 400-freestyle relay also placed 12th. Teddy competed in individual backstroke, butterfly, and freestyle races, as well as medley and free relays, and posted a number of fast times that came close to her personal bests.
Congratulations, Teddy!
