Foxcroft Partners with Artists in Middleburg for Juried Student Photography Exhibit

Foxcroft School Fine Arts is excited to announce a juried student photography exhibit, held in partnership with the Artists in Middleburg (AiM). The show will open this Saturday, March 23 and run through Sunday, March 31. This year’s theme, "Virginia is for Art Lovers," will also bring together student artists from Claude Thompson Elementary School and The Community Music School of the Piedmont in celebration of our beautiful state.
The Artists in Middleburg gallery is a unique non-profit organization dedicated to bringing together a community of artists and to supporting arts in education. Digital Arts Instructor Julie Fisher has worked with AiM Director Sandy Danielson for the past two years to arrange a student exhibition in celebration of our community’s talented youth. This year, they scheduled the show for the end of March, which is nationally recognized as Youth Art Month.

A total of 28 photography students and Photography Club members were involved in the exhibition process. Each girl selected an image to prepare for display and wrote a statement connecting her work to inspiration that they found in Virginia. These participants prepared exhibition labels, and then signed, editioned, and framed their artwork, which they will hang before the opening next Saturday.

These limited-edition prints will be for sale for the duration of the exhibit. The Artists in Middleburg Gallery is graciously donating 100% of the sales back to the schools to support their individual art programs.

Please join us on Saturday, March 23, from 1-3pm for the Opening Reception. Enjoy the wonderful work of our students and be sure to cast you vote for the “Best in Show!”
