    Six Students Participate in Model Organization of American States Event

    In mid-November, six Foxcroft international students were invited to participate in a simulation conference called the Model OAS (Organization of American States) hosted at Georgetown Preparatory School in Washington, DC. Model OAS is an opportunity for young leaders from across the United States and abroad to be part of this exciting two-day experience of diplomacy, consensus, compromise, debate, negotiation, and networking on the most pressing issues facing not only the hemisphere but the global community.

    On Tuesday, November 29, Mr. Faris Hadad-Zervos (parent of Mimi H-L ’26), the World Bank Country Director for Nepal, Maldives, and Sri Lanka, spoke to the Global Studies Concentration program and other interested students. He integrated the subject of each Global Studies Concentration student’s final project to talk about the future of the world and how it connects to our specific research.

  • Fox/Hound Field Hockey Goes to the Hounds! 

    An enthusiastic crowd braved the chilly weather on Saturday, November 19, to cheer from the sidelines of Turf Field for the Foxes and Hounds in a beloved tradition that includes a bit of pomp and spectacle and a lot of friendly rivalry.

    Though the cheering was loud and proud on both sides and both teams played with great heart and skill, Captains Eva C. ’24 and Julia K. ’24 led the Hounds to a 3-0 Big Game victory, with two goals from Julia and one from Flora W. ’25. Congratulations, Hounds!

    We hope you will join us this Saturday, November 19, for a day of athletic competitions, celebrations, and goodwill. The full day of events features plenty of Fox/Hound excitement, from New Girl Runnings through Big Game.

    Varsity Field Hockey player Lucy M. ’23 has been selected to the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) Division II All-State First Team in a superb finish to a memorable season, where the team rose to #6 in the final VISAA DII rankings and narrowly lost their state quarterfinal game in a shootout.
