Emma Cesar joined the English Department in the 2022-23 school year. Emma holds a B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University and M.Ed. in Secondary Education in Integrated Language Arts from Xavier University.
Emma serves as a lead staff member at Amplify Arts Project, which empowers girls and gender-expansive youth to express themselves through rock music, arts, and activism. She has also been an Americorp Ohio College Guide, helping students learn about post-secondary education opportunities and facilitating college-readiness experiences.
At Foxcroft, Emma coaches rock climbing and cross country, advises Chimera literary magazine and is a member of the Dillon dorm team.
Rebecca started at Foxcroft as an assistant librarian in the Audrey Bruce Currier Library, and she now teaches English 2 and AP Literature and Composition. After graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts from William & Mary with a dual major in English and Hispanic Studies, she received her M.A. in English from James Madison University where she was awarded the Cohen Center Graduate Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement.
At JMU, Rebecca served as a teaching assistant for introductory English courses and worked as an editor for a digital humanities project where she assisted in the digital publishing process of 17th century literary works. In her free time, she likes to hike, birdwatch, bake, and read, of course! Rebecca lives on campus in the Orchard dorm.
Michelle Woodruff is the Director of Athletics and the Head Field Hockey Coach at Foxcroft School. She is a four-time Conference Coach of the Year and has over 20 years of experience in independent school education and athletics. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary. Outside of work she enjoys tennis, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
