Mars Scholarship Merit Awards are multi-year scholarships awarded to students with a demonstrated ability in the areas of literature and the arts; science and math; and civics, government leadership and history, and a particular interest in service to their community.
- The Virginia Cretella Mars Scholarship is based on an applicant’s passion for and accomplishments in literature and the Arts, as well as a commitment to community service.
- The Audrey Meyer Mars Scholarship is based on an applicant’s passion for and accomplishments in science and math, as well as a commitment to community service.
- The Jacqueline Badger Mars Scholarship is based on an applicant's strong interest in civics, government, leadership, or history demonstrated by positions she may hold at school such as class officer, leadership in community service and outside clubs, etc.
In addition to a personal essay, the application also requires a letter of recommendation from an individual who can attest to the candidate's involvement in community service. This person should not be a direct relative and be able to cite examples from their work directly with the candidate. The essay may be typed or copied into this form or uploaded (below). The letter of recommendation may be uploaded (below) or emailed to admissions@foxcroft.org.
