Varsity Swimming Earns GPAC Runner-up at Championship Meet

Varsity Swimming Earns GPAC Runner-up at Championship Meet

“In just our second year as a program, this small but mighty swim team delivered a terrific performance at the Greater Piedmont Athletic Conference (GPAC) Championships, finishing as conference runner-up,” shared Coach Bryanne Peterson.

“Each of our six swimmers contributed to the team’s point total, with four personal bests recorded at the championship meet. Silver-medal finishes in both the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay captured what this team is all about: racing together and supporting one another when it mattered most.”

Junior Rianna S. will compete at the VISAA State Championships on Friday, February 13, after qualifying in the 100-yard butterfly and the 50-yard freestyle.

In other Foxcroft athletics news, Varsity Basketball will begin its GPAC tournament run with a quarterfinal game on Feb 17; opponent and location will be announced that week.

Competitive Rock Climbing finished their season with several personal bests at the WAICL Conference Championships on February 1.
