Sisters P-Sky & Isla M. Continue Strong Showing as Exceptional Proficiency Riders

Earlier this month, sisters Isla M. ’28 and P-Sky M. ’27 had a fantastic showing at the Kentucky Spring Horse Show in Lexington, KY.

Over the weekend of May 8-10, both girls competed in the 1.25m Junior Jumper Division. P-Sky had a double clear on Fostyne and placed 5th, and, on Vanilla, placed in the top ten. Isla and Lady Stakkata earned 2nd and 4th in the division classes, ending in the 1.25m Junior Classic with a double clear and third, earning the Reserve Champion Title for the May 8-10 week. P-Sky also won the Division Champion Title on Fostyne last week (May 14-17) in the 1.20m Juniors, jumping clean all week and earning 3rd as well as taking the win in the 1.25 Junior Classic.

Both girls compete at shows throughout the year with the support of Foxcroft’s Exceptional Proficiency program, including at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) earlier this year. During Week 6, the girls had a successful weekend where P-Sky placed 1st and 2nd on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday, making her the overall Champion for the weekend in the Modified Children’s Jumper division (1.15m). Isla also rode well, placing 5th in the Modified Children’s Jumper classic 1.15m. The following weekend, during Week 7, P-Sky placed 2nd and took home the Reserve Champion title in the Modified Children’s Jumper division. “Both sisters consistently populated the WEF leaderboard with the Jamaican flag,” shared their mom, Jaime Stewart, “placing every weekend and making friends and family and the Equestrian Federation of Jamaica very proud.”

Looking ahead, both girls will head to Michigan this summer for the month of July to compete at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival in the 1.20/1.25m Low Junior division.
