Sarah Kay Named Visiting Poet for 2025 Paul K. Bergan Poetry Festival

Foxcroft is excited to welcome Sarah Kay as our Visiting Poet for the 2025 Paul K. Bergan Poetry Festival, to be held on Friday, February 14.

No stranger to Foxcroft, Kay was our Visiting Poet in 2021 (during COVID), but this will be her first time on campus.

A native New Yorker, Kay is the founder and co-director of Project VOICE, which works with schools to provide live poetry performances and in-person workshops to educate, entertain, and inspire. She has also authored five books of poetry, including B, No Matter the Wreckage, The Type, All Our Wild Wonder, and A Little Daylight Left. She has performed in more than 30 countries and is an occasional editor for Write Bloody Publishing

She has been a TED speaker, a writer in residence at Hedgebrook, a Kundiman fellow, a Serenbe artist in residence, an artist in residence of Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, a co-columnist of PoetryRx for The Paris Review online, and a co-curator of the Ours Poetica web series.

We look forward to hosting this remarkable poet during Foxcroft’s annual celebration of words!
