Performances Ignite at “Girls On Fire” Fall Revue
Following a festive day of activities during Family Weekend, parents, siblings, relatives, and guests were treated to an evening of singing and dancing during the 2024 “Girls On Fire” fall musical revue. Talented students took the stage with confidence, both as soloists and during group performances, showcasing music from across the decades that celebrates the strength and spirit of girl power.
The Class of 2028 opened the revue with a rendition of Chappell Roan’s “Hot To Go,” and the acts that followed all stayed with the theme of empowered women. Soloists sang contemporary hits, including Anna C. ’25 (KT Tunstall’s “Suddenly I See”), ZoraNelle B. ’26 (Nelly Furtado’s “I’m Like a Bird”), and Valentina D. ’26, who was accompanied on stage by dancers Anila S. ’25, Katarina S. ’27, Priscilla C. ’27, and Aon K. ’27 while performing Megan Trainor’s “No.” Theater Production delivered two strong numbers, including Gloria Gaynor’s classic “I Will Survive” and Diana Ross’ “Do You Know Where You’re Going To.”
Of course, the night wouldn’t have been complete without Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want To Have Fun,” performed by the Class of 2028, or Alicia Keys' hit “This Girl is On Fire,” sung by the Theater Production Class with featured soloists Anna C. ’25, ZoraNelle B. ’26, Poppy M. ’27, and Cam F. ’27. Rhythm Nation members Hailey Y. ’25, Zoe S. ’25, Anais P. ’26, and Ja’Zaira T. ’28 delivered great choreography to Fifth Harmony’s “That’s My Girl.” The show concluded with “We Are Family” by Sister Sledge, a fitting tribute to the wonderful community at Foxcroft.
