Foxcroft Celebrates 11 All-GPAC Athletes 

Varsity Lacrosse

Winning the GPAC Championship for the second consecutive year, Varsity Lacrosse finished their season at #7 in the final Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) DII rankings and earned a berth in the state tournament. Seven athletes received All-GPAC honors.

“These seven athletes made an extraordinary impact all over the field,” shared Coach Michelle Woodruff, “and I feel incredibly fortunate that every one of them will be returning next season. Charlotte was our leading scorer with 43 goals and embodied what it means to give everything for her team. Her dominance on the draw was essential. CeCe was the cornerstone of our team and led us in assists. Her leadership, endurance, and ability to impact every part of the game made her indispensable.

“Hadley was calm under pressure, determined to win every ball, strong in every challenge, and relentless in her hustle. Caroline brought consistency, surgical precision, and raw power to the field every single day, adding 25 goals to the season. Camden was a fearless dodger, a ruthless finisher, and a wonderful teammate, scoring 25 goals this season. Mimi was coachable, unselfish, and possessed an outstanding work ethic, and was critical on attack, contributing 22 goals this year.

“And Michaela, our Conference Player of the Year, was an all-around game changer and a huge reason for our success. She was an absolute powerhouse in goal, averaging 10.55 saves per game.”

Varsity Soccer

Varsity Soccer had a hard but well-fought season, falling in its GPAC semifinal game. The players’ grit and determination were applauded at the conference level, as four team members earned All-GPAC recognition. 

“The Varsity Soccer team had another successful season, and the team grew an immense amount in each game. I can’t believe just how much the team improved between our first game and our last," shared Coach James Sweeney. 

"Our four all-conference selections show that we had success in each aspect of the game. Maddie earned First Team All-Conference as our safety net on defense. She was always there to support her teammates and get the ball out of harm's way. Kyla and Greta were vital to our success in the middle of the field. Kyla is a playmaker who can dribble and create promising opportunities for both herself and her teammates. A majority of our promising attacks this season went through her. Greta hit the ground running as a freshman and scored some amazing goals, as well as delivered dangerous crosses for her teammates to attack. Finally, Katharina was our lightning bolt up top, making opposing defenders nervous and leading our team in goals this season.

“These four outstanding players were the standouts on a team that worked incredibly well together and made leaps and bounds as a cohesive unit.  ”
