Caroline W. ’26 to Attend Broadcast and Digital Journalism Summer Program at Syracuse University
I am thrilled to have been accepted to participate in the Broadcast and Digital Journalism program at Syracuse University this summer for two weeks.
I have been looking at Syracuse as a possible choice for college, and, after finding this summer program, I realized that it is a great way to learn more and experience this university.
With my love of video production, history, and impactful storytelling, I decided it would be a valuable opportunity to pursue a program in journalism and broadcasting during the summer. Furthermore, taking this summer course at Syracuse allows me to explore my interests while helping me discover what I want to study in college.
I have recently been working on a documentary in Video Production 3 about diving in Bonaire, contrasting my expectations with the realities of diving, as well as what I learned from this experience. I hope that this program will help me explore ways I can more effectively convey my message to my audience.
Though I am excited about all aspects of this program, I am most excited to live in New York for two weeks and experience a preview of what college is like, as well as get to know the Syracuse campus better.
Previously, I completed a program like this at Georgetown University, where I studied French for a few weeks. A valuable experience, I am thrilled to participate in this type of program again, as I have started thinking about college more. I hope this experience helps me better understand what I am passionate about and narrows down what I am looking for in my next school after I graduate from Foxcroft.
