Anouk V. ’27 is Foxcroft's Student of the Month
Anouk V. ’27 was announced as Student of the Month at Tuesday's Morning Meeting.
Faculty members submitted nominations for students who have demonstrated excellence in their academic life at Foxcroft. The Student of the Month is not solely concerned with classroom performance — the award also recognizes students who contribute positively to the classroom environment, demonstrate strong intellectual curiosity, and take advantage of the full scope of Foxcroft's academic program.
Before presenting Anouk with her award, biology teacher Dr. Meghen Tuttle shared comments from the teachers who nominated her, including her own. "She is a consistently positive presence in class. She works hard, jumps into everything with enthusiasm and determination, and encourages those around her."
Her history teacher offered, "She carefully reads and digests the history, asking clarifying questions whenever she reaches an area that she doesn't quite understand or when she needs more information. She has completed every single formative assignment, and her assessment scores are consistently excellent. Her thoughtfulness is appreciated by all, and her kind and cheerful spirit brightens up our class."
Her French teacher noted, "She is a focused and calm presence in class. She listens carefully to her classmates in discussions and takes risks in her contributions, both in her speaking and in her writing."
And her English teacher said, "She is a standout student in English class because she embodies Foxcroft's values of creating a supportive, thoughtful, and kind classroom environment. She is always willing to help classmates by listening actively to their ideas, asking them for help, and offering them encouraging words. Her thoughtfulness and kindness allow for everyone to feel welcome and respected, making the English classroom a positive space for all."
Congratulations, Anouk!
