A Golden Ticket Evening: Athletic Association Banquet Honors Tradition of Leadership
On Sunday, the Foxcroft community was transported to a world of pure imagination at the Athletic Association Banquet, where leadership positions are passed down by departing seniors. Club leaders announce their successors for the next year, while Fox/Hound officers and mascots pass down hats, pins, and so much more.
A truly magical Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory theme, imagined and implemented by the hard-working members of Athletic Association, transformed the Dining Hall in an immersive way, putting together a banquet that honored the significance of this annual spring tradition. A canopy of candies hung over students and faculty while a Fizzy Lifting Drink station offered refreshment. Thanks to the Athletic Association’s creativity, dedication, and vision, the scene was set for a wonderful evening.
After everyone was seated at their tables, senior Athletic Association Heads Lizema C., Kate G., Kyla P., and Ellet S. welcomed students, faculty, and staff. Dinner was served, Duck Donuts were enjoyed, and the program got underway. Junior Co-Heads Fiona J., Connelly R., Ellie W., Micheala W., and CeCe Y. each invited club leaders to the podium to share reflections on the year and announce their successors for 2026-27. The newly elected club leaders are stepping into big shoes to continue the work of groups like Activities Committee, Morgan’s Message, Model UN, STEAM Club, Techies, and so many others that enhance the residential and co-curricular experience here at Foxcroft.
The final portion of the evening showcased the spirited tradition of Fox/Hound. This year’s officers and mascots took a few minutes to reflect on the year and what it meant to hold their positions before announcing who they would pass down to for next year. There were laughs, tears, and smiles that all exemplify how special the Fox/Hound tradition is to the community. Special congratulations to our 2026-27 Fox and Hound Captains, CeCe Y. ’27 and Katt G. ’27. Our departing captains, Ellet S. ’26 and Mia D. ’26, have been great role models in leading both teams with spirit and enthusiasm all year!
Many thanks to the Athletic Association and faculty advisor Michelle Woodruff, the Dining Hall staff for the delicious meal, Maintenance for all their help with the setup, the Technology Department for their technical assistance, and of course, Hound Backer Patty Boswell and Foxy Lady Emma Cesar for all their support in making this wonderful event come together!
